We are so thrilled to have finally gotten to visit and hold an amazing family reunification event in a brand new state to us. It was so beautiful to see 16 incarcerated moms embrace and connect with 29 caregivers and 34 children!
About 80 people were part of this healing and moving event, our first in Illinois ever. One mother reunited with her daughter who she hasn’t seen in 8 years, and everyone was so touched by the mom who “met” her five year old who she hadn’t seen since her birth.
These events are so important to our ministry to show the incarcerated that Jesus loves them and wants to give them and their families a second chance.

Twenty-five years earlier, Carvis Webb, now known as Pastor Donk, was led through the Angola gates in handcuffs. Last month, God Behind Bars brought him back to the place where everything began.
